In 2015 we started a culture-driven recruitment marketplace called TalentRocket. Our aim was to help people find great places to work. That’s more than big brand names and perks, it’s about finding a place where anyone can enjoy doing their best work.
As part of helping candidates to discover their ideal place of work, we wanted to provide a way for them to understand and describe what their ideal looked like. After 18 months of meticulous research and testing that became a survey to understand how they liked to work.
We’d get great feedback from candidates saying our tool had helped them to ensure the culture they were going into was right for them, but when we looked into what companies were using to assess the culture fit of candidates the options were archaic personality tests or nothing at all.
Once companies got a glimpse at what we were doing, the reaction was immediate and clear… we had invented something unique and different; we could measure culture fit more effectively than any other product on the market….and ThriveMap was born.
